Here's the gist for your birth control pill (the ethinyl estradiol plus desogestrel combo). Corydalis may contain berberine, which lab work hints could slow down a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Since your hormones lean partly on these liver pathways to be cleared, the theory is that levels could creep up a bit. In plain terms, that might mean slightly more of the usual estrogen-type side effects, like nausea, breast tenderness, bloating, or headaches.

I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on pharmacology, not real human studies with this pill. It's not a strong, proven interaction. Before adding corydalis, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor so they can look at your full picture.
