Glasdegib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.

Here's the gist for Glasdegib (Daurismo). Your body clears this leukemia drug using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Corydalis contains berberine, which lab and early human studies suggest can mildly block that same enzyme. If it slows the breakdown of glasdegib, more of the drug could linger in your blood than intended.

With glasdegib, that extra exposure could mean a higher chance of side effects like muscle cramps, fatigue, nausea, low blood counts, or changes to your heart's rhythm (a longer QT interval). I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how things work in the lab, not proven in people. Since glasdegib is a serious cancer medicine, please check with your oncology team or pharmacist before adding any corydalis product.

What Is Glasdegib Used For?

Brand name: Daurismo

Daurismo (glasdegib) is approved to treat newly-diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) — a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. It is used specifically in adults who are 75 years of age or older, or in adults of any age whose other health conditions make intensive induction chemotherapy too risky.

Daurismo is not used alone. It is always given together with low-dose cytarabine, a separate chemotherapy medicine, as part of a 28-day treatment cycle.
