Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Animal research suggests that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, a clinical study suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also reduce blood pressure.

Inderide combines two blood pressure medicines: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and propranolol (a beta blocker). Corydalis yanhusuo may have its own mild blood pressure lowering effect, so pairing it with this combination could, in theory, push your numbers down further than expected. If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or a bit woozy when you stand up quickly.

Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based on lab and animal studies, not strong human evidence, so it may not cause any real problem for you. Still, if you're already on Inderide, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding corydalis, and keeping an eye on your blood pressure is a smart move. Please don't change anything on your own.

Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence show that berberine can inhibit CYP2D6. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2D6.

Inderide combines two medicines, but the part that matters here is the propranolol, a beta-blocker. Your liver clears propranolol partly through an enzyme called CYP2D6. Corydalis may contain compounds (like berberine) that can slow that enzyme down. If it does, propranolol could build up a bit more than usual, which might lead to a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, dizziness, or extra tiredness. The hydrochlorothiazide (water pill) part isn't really involved in this enzyme pathway.

Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based mostly on lab work, not strong human studies, so it may not amount to much in real life. Still, since both can lower blood pressure, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them. Don't change anything on your own.
