Combunox combines ibuprofen with oxycodone, and it's the oxycodone half that matters here. Oxycodone is an opioid, so it already calms the nervous system and can make you drowsy, slow your breathing, and cloud your thinking. Corydalis yanhusuo may have its own mild sedating effect, so stacking the two could, in theory, leave you more sleepy, foggy, or unsteady than the medication alone.
I want to be honest: this caution is theoretical, based on lab and animal studies, not real-world human reports, so the actual risk is uncertain. Still, since oxycodone is a strong drug, it's worth playing it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, and never adjust your dose on your own.

CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES

Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence show that berberine can inhibit CYP2D6. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2D6.

This combo pill pairs ibuprofen with oxycodone. The piece that matters here is the oxycodone, which your liver partly processes through an enzyme called CYP2D6 to form a more potent painkiller. Corydalis may slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could shift how much active drug you make, but honestly this is based on lab work and a chemical (berberine) that Corydalis may contain, not solid human studies, so the real-world effect is uncertain.
Because oxycodone is an opioid, I'd just keep an eye out for stronger sedation, dizziness, slowed breathing, or constipation. The ibuprofen side isn't really affected. Don't change anything on your own. Run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, especially since Corydalis itself can be sedating.

Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.

Combunox combines ibuprofen with oxycodone, and it's the oxycodone half that matters here. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear oxycodone. Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine, which lab and early human studies suggest can moderately slow that same enzyme. If it does, oxycodone could hang around longer than expected, nudging up its effects, things like extra drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, nausea, or in a worst case, slowed breathing.
Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based on how the herb behaves in the lab, not proven harm in people. Still, since oxycodone is an opioid and effects can stack, I'd ask your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two rather than guessing.

Here's the thing to keep an eye on with this combo. The ibuprofen part of Combunox is an NSAID, and NSAIDs already nudge up your bleeding risk a bit by making platelets (the cells that help your blood clot) less sticky. Corydalis contains compounds, including berberine, that lab and animal studies suggest may also calm platelets down. Stack the two, and in theory the bleeding effect could add up.
I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is theoretical, coming from test-tube and animal research, not solid human studies. So don't panic. Still, watch for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, dark or tarry stools, or stomach upset, since ibuprofen can irritate the gut. The oxycodone side mostly brings drowsiness and constipation, not bleeding. Run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
