Here's the gist for Lorazepam (Ativan): it already calms the brain to ease anxiety and help you rest. Corydalis yanhusuo seems to have its own mild calming, sedative-type activity based on its plant compounds. So the worry isn't that one changes how the other is broken down. Instead, it's about two sedating things stacking on top of each other.

Combined, you might feel extra drowsy, foggy, dizzy, or unsteady on your feet, and that can raise the risk of falls. I'll be honest, this concern is mostly theoretical, coming from lab and animal studies rather than solid human research, so don't panic. Still, before pairing them, please check with your pharmacist or doctor.

About Lorazepam

What Is Lorazepam Used For?

Brand name: Ativan

Lorazepam tablets (Ativan and generic) and the oral solution are used to manage anxiety disorders or for short-term relief of anxiety symptoms, including anxiety that comes with depressive symptoms. Loreev XR, an extended-release capsule, is specifically indicated for adults with anxiety disorders who are already stable on lorazepam tablets taken three times daily.

Ativan and generic lorazepam injections are used in two additional situations: treating status epilepticus (a medical emergency involving prolonged or repeated seizures) and as a pre-surgery medication in adults to produce sedation, ease anxiety, and reduce memory of events on the day of surgery.
