Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Animal research suggests that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, a clinical study suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also reduce blood pressure.

Here's the simple version: Nebivolol (Bystolic) is a beta blocker that already lowers your blood pressure and slows your heart rate. Corydalis yanhusuo may have its own mild blood-pressure-lowering action. Put the two together and the worry is that their effects could stack up, pushing your numbers a little too low.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy or lightheaded, especially standing up, tired, or notice your pulse running slow. I'll be honest with you though: this is a theoretical concern based mostly on lab and animal research, not solid human studies, so it may never cause a problem. Still, since both affect blood pressure, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't change your nebivolol on your own.

Here's the gist for Bystolic (nebivolol). Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP2D6 to break this beta blocker down. Corydalis contains compounds (including berberine) that may slow that same enzyme. If nebivolol clears more slowly, its levels can creep up, and you'd feel more of its usual effects, things like a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, lightheadedness, tiredness, or feeling faint when you stand up.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is theoretical, based on how these compounds behave in the lab rather than real patient studies. It may never cause a problem for you. Still, since it could nudge your blood pressure and pulse, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
