Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Preliminary clinical research shows that berberine can inhibit CYP2C9. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2C9.

Here's the gist for sulfamethoxazole (often paired with trimethoprim as Bactrim). Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2C9 to help clear this antibiotic. Corydalis yanhusuo contains compounds like berberine that may slow that enzyme down. If that happens, sulfamethoxazole could linger in your blood a bit longer than usual, which in theory could nudge up the chance of side effects like nausea, rash, or sun sensitivity.

I want to be honest about how solid this is: it's theoretical, based on how these compounds behave in the lab, not on real patient studies. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but I would mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, just to be safe.
