ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Belladonna, Caffeine, Ergotamine, Pentobarbital
Belladonna, Caffeine, Ergotamine, Pentobarbital falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Datura Wrightii interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here is the key thing to know: the product you asked about already contains belladonna, which is itself a natural source of atropine-type alkaloids that block acetylcholine (an anticholinergic). Datura wrightii contains those very same compounds (atropine, scopolamine, hyoscyamine). So combining them is like stacking two anticholinergics on top of each other, which can pile up the effects.
That means you could see stronger versions of the usual anticholinergic effects: dry mouth, blurry vision, constipation, trouble urinating, a fast or pounding heartbeat, flushing, confusion, even hallucinations. The caffeine and ergotamine pieces can add to the racing-heart feeling too. This concern is based on how these drugs work (theoretical pharmacology) rather than lots of patient reports, but Datura is genuinely poisonous and I would not use it at all. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything with this medicine.
