Chlorothiazide, Methyldopa falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Dendrobium interacts with.

The dendrobium constituent dendrobine is reported to have hypotensive effects. Theoretically, combining dendrobium with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension; use with caution.

Your medication, Aldoclor, pairs a water pill (chlorothiazide) with methyldopa, and both are meant to lower your blood pressure. Dendrobium contains a compound called dendrobine that may have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect of its own. So the theory here is simple: stacking the two could nudge your pressure a little lower than expected.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy or lightheaded, especially when standing up, or notice more tiredness. I want to be honest, though, this concern is theoretical and based on how the ingredients work, not on real cases in people, so it's rated minor. Still, since you're already on two blood pressure agents, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Dendrobium.
