Devil's Claw + Meloxicam
Meloxicam brand names: Mobic, Vivlodex, Qmiiz ODT, Anjeso.
Devil's Claw has a moderate interaction with Meloxicam. Theoretically, devil's claw might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Meloxicam
Meloxicam falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Devil's Claw interacts with.
In vitro research shows that devil's claw might inhibit CYP2C9, although this has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the connection worth knowing about. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2C9 to clear meloxicam out of your system. In test-tube studies, devil's claw appears to slow that same enzyme down. If that held true in people, meloxicam could hang around longer and build up, which might nudge up the usual NSAID side effects: stomach upset or irritation, a higher chance of bleeding, fluid retention, raised blood pressure, or stress on the kidneys.
I want to keep this in perspective, though. So far this has only shown up in lab research, not in actual patients, so it's mostly theoretical. Still, since both products are pain relievers and meloxicam already carries those risks on its own, it's smart to check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Meloxicam page
“Most people take meloxicam (Mobic) daily for arthritis pain, which gives supplement interactions time to add up, so I read this list with real vigilance. Five of the 113 ingredients on file carry a major rating, and two are simply beer and wine, because alcohol plus any NSAID raises the odds of stomach bleeding.”

Meloxicam Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Meloxicam as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Devil's Claw — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
