Devil's Claw + Testosterone
Testosterone brand names: Intrinsa, Testim, Androgel, Andropatch, Testogel, and others.
Devil's Claw has a moderate interaction with Testosterone. Theoretically, devil's claw might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Testosterone
Testosterone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Devil's Claw interacts with.
In vitro research shows that devil's claw might inhibit CYP3A4, although this has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for testosterone and devil's claw. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down testosterone. In test-tube studies, devil's claw appears to slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened in people, testosterone could clear a little more slowly and build up, which might nudge up side effects like acne, oily skin, mood swings, fluid retention, or changes in your blood counts.
The honest part: this is theoretical. It comes only from lab research and has never actually been shown in humans, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since testosterone is monitored with lab work, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before adding devil's claw, rather than starting or stopping anything on your own.

This page covers Devil's Claw only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Testosterone page lists 170 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Beer (major), Grapefruit (major), Siberian Cocklebur (major), St. John's Wort (major) and Wine (major).
By severity: 5 major · 129 moderate · 36 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Testosterone page
“The supplement list for testosterone therapy (Androgel, Testim, Nebido, and others) deserves real attention, mainly because five of its 170 entries are rated major and four of those are everyday items: grapefruit, St. John's wort, and alcohol in the form of beer or wine.”

About Testosterone
What Is Testosterone Used For?
Brand names: Intrinsa, Testim, Androgel, Andropatch, Testogel, Nebido, Delatestryl, Natesto, Vogelxo
Testosterone products are used as replacement therapy in men with low or absent natural testosterone. This is called hypogonadism (the body doesn't make enough testosterone).
Labels list two types: primary hypogonadism (a problem in the testicles) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (a problem with the brain's pituitary or hypothalamus signals). Some labels, such as Testopel pellets, also mention helping start puberty in carefully selected males with clearly delayed puberty.
