Rucaparib Camsylate falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Devil's Claw interacts with.

Theoretically, devil's claw might increase levels of P-glycoprotein substrates.
In vitro research shows that devil's claw inhibits P-glycoprotein, which transports many drugs out of cells. This might increase intracellular levels of P-glycoprotein substrates, although it is unclear if this effect would be clinically important.

Here's the gist for your situation. Your body uses a tiny cellular pump called P-glycoprotein to push certain drugs back out of cells. Rucaparib (Rubraca) is one of those drugs. Lab studies hint that devil's claw might slow that pump down, which in theory could let a bit more rucaparib stay inside your cells and slightly raise its levels.

If that happened, you might notice more of rucaparib's usual side effects, like nausea, fatigue, low blood counts, or stomach upset. But I want to be clear: this is only test-tube evidence, and it's rated as a minor, theoretical concern. We don't know if it matters in real people. Because you're treating cancer, please run any supplement past your oncologist or pharmacist before adding it.

About Rucaparib

What Is Rucaparib Used For?

Brand name: Rubraca

Rubraca (rucaparib) is used for two types of cancer in adults who carry a harmful BRCA gene mutation (either inherited or found in the tumor). First, it is used as maintenance treatment — meaning ongoing treatment to keep cancer from coming back — in people with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer who responded (fully or partially) to platinum-based chemotherapy.

Second, Rubraca treats metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to hormone-lowering treatment) in adults who have already received androgen receptor-directed therapy. Patients must be tested with an FDA-approved companion diagnostic to confirm the BRCA mutation before starting Rubraca for prostate cancer.
