Vecuronium falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Devil's Claw interacts with.

Theoretically, devil's claw might increase levels of P-glycoprotein substrates.
In vitro research shows that devil's claw inhibits P-glycoprotein, which transports many drugs out of cells. This might increase intracellular levels of P-glycoprotein substrates, although it is unclear if this effect would be clinically important.

Here's the good news first: this is a pretty minor concern, and it's really only theoretical. Vecuronium is a muscle relaxant given through an IV during surgery or in the ICU, always under close monitoring by an anesthesia team. It isn't something you take at home alongside a daily supplement.

The idea on file is that devil's claw might block a transporter called P-glycoprotein, which could in theory let a little more vecuronium build up in cells and slightly deepen or prolong its effect (longer muscle relaxation). But this comes only from lab dish studies, not real patients, so we don't know it actually matters in people. If you're scheduled for a procedure, just let your anesthesiologist and pharmacist know about any supplements you take, including devil's claw.
