Here's the gist for trimetrexate (Neutrexin), a potent medicine usually given in the hospital to treat serious infections like PCP pneumonia. Your liver clears it partly through an enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab studies hint that devil's claw might slow that same enzyme down. If that happened in real life, trimetrexate could build up in your body and push side effects harder, things like low blood counts, mouth sores, nausea, or liver and kidney strain.

I want to be honest, though: this is theoretical, seen only in test-tube research, and never confirmed in people. Trimetrexate is also a powerful drug given under close medical supervision, so any supplement is worth flagging. Please run devil's claw past your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.
