Lepirudin is a strong injectable blood thinner, given in the hospital to stop clots (often in people who can't take heparin). Indole-3-carbinol, the compound from broccoli and similar veggies, has shown in lab dish studies that it can make platelets (the cells that help blood clot) a little less sticky. So in theory, pairing it with a powerful anticoagulant like lepirudin could nudge your bleeding risk up.

Here's the honest part: this concern comes only from test-tube research, not from people, so it's quite weak evidence. Still, lepirudin is potent and is dosed carefully by lab tests, and signs of too much could include easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums. Since lepirudin is hospital-only, please tell your care team about any supplements so they can monitor you safely.
