Treximet combines naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) with sumatriptan (a migraine medicine). The concern on file is that indole-3-carbinol may speed up a liver enzyme called CYP1A2, which helps process certain drugs. If that happens, your body could clear the medicine a little faster, and in theory you might get less migraine relief or weaker pain control. Neither of these is a prodrug, so faster breakdown would mean less effect, not more.

Here is the reassuring part: this idea comes only from animal and lab studies, not from people, so it is mostly theoretical. Food amounts of broccoli or cabbage are very unlikely to matter. If you take concentrated I3C supplements, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before combining.

Treximet pairs naproxen (an NSAID pain reliever) with sumatriptan for migraines. The piece that matters here is the naproxen, since like other NSAIDs it already nudges your platelets toward less clotting, which is why it can cause stomach upset, ulcers, or bleeding in some folks. In lab dishes, indole-3-carbinol also slowed platelets from clumping together. So in theory, stacking the two could add up and make easy bruising or bleeding a bit more likely.

Keep this in perspective. This concern comes only from test-tube research, not from real patients, so it is fairly weak evidence. Everyday broccoli or cabbage at the dinner table is very unlikely to matter; concentrated I3C supplements are the bigger question. If you take both regularly, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
