Phenprocoumon falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Indole-3-carbinol interacts with.

Theoretically, indole-3-carbinol might increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.

Phenprocoumon is a blood thinner (a vitamin K antagonist, in the same family as warfarin), and it has a narrow safety window where small shifts in bleeding risk really matter. The concern here is mild: in lab studies, indole-3-carbinol seemed to make platelets a little less likely to clump together. On its own that is just a test-tube finding, but when you stack it on top of a drug that already keeps your blood from clotting, the theory is that bleeding could become a touch more likely.

To be honest, this is theoretical and not proven in people. Broccoli or cabbage at dinner is unlikely to matter, but concentrated I3C supplements are a different story. Watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or pink urine, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.
