Here's the gist: Levemir (insulin detemir) already works to lower your blood sugar. Some small studies suggest that concentrated jackfruit products, like jackfruit flour or leaf extract, may nudge blood sugar down a little too. Stack those two together and the worry is your sugar could drop too low, what we call hypoglycemia. That can show up as shakiness, sweating, a fast heartbeat, confusion, or feeling dizzy.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is mostly theoretical, based on how jackfruit might behave, not strong proof. Eating jackfruit as a regular fruit is very unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated supplements are the bigger question. Don't change your insulin on your own. Just check your sugars closely and chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding any jackfruit product.

Levemir (insulin detemir) is used to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in adults and children with type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes. It is a basal insulin, meaning it works around the clock to keep background blood sugar levels steady.

Levemir is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis (a dangerous buildup of acids in the blood that requires a different type of insulin).
