Here's the simple version: Belsomra (suvorexant) already works by quieting the part of your brain that keeps you awake, so it naturally makes you sleepy. The concern with jackfruit is that some animal studies hint that jackfruit seeds may have a mild sedating effect of their own. If that holds true in people, pairing the two could add up and leave you feeling extra drowsy, groggy the next morning, or unsteady on your feet.

That said, this is very much a theoretical worry based only on lab and animal research, not human studies. Eating jackfruit as a normal fruit is unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated seed extracts are the bigger question mark. If you want to use those regularly, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
