Oliceridine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Jequirity interacts with.

In vitro research shows that jequirity extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes. Theoretically, taking jequirity may inhibit the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.

First, the most important thing: jequirity seeds are dangerously poisonous and should never be taken as a supplement at all. So this isn't really about pairing it safely with anything.

On the lab side, test-tube studies suggest jequirity extract can slow down CYP3A4, the same enzyme that helps your body break down oliceridine (Olinvyk). In theory, blocking that enzyme could let oliceridine build up. Since oliceridine is an opioid given for pain, more in your system could mean stronger effects like heavy drowsiness, dizziness, and slowed breathing. That said, this is only theoretical lab evidence, rated minor and unlikely. The real concern here is the toxin itself, not a drug interaction. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything with oliceridine.

Despite a long history in traditional medicine, the seeds are dangerously poisonous and there is no reliable evidence that it is safe or effective. It should not be used as a supplement or medicine.

What Is Oliceridine Injection Used For?

Brand name: Olinvyk

Olinvyk (oliceridine) injection is approved for adults to manage acute pain that is severe enough to require an intravenous opioid analgesic. It is used only when alternative treatments are ineffective, not tolerated, or otherwise unable to provide adequate pain control.

Because of serious risks including addiction, misuse, overdose, and death, Olinvyk is reserved for situations where other pain management options are not sufficient. It is not intended for routine or chronic pain management.
