Psilocybin + Dextroamphetamine (patch)
Dextroamphetamine (patch) brand name: Xelstrym.
Dextroamphetamine (patch) falls into 2 drug categories that Psilocybin can interact with; the most serious is rated moderate. Theoretically, combining psilocybin with serotonergic drugs might cause additive serotonergic effects.

These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Psilocybin interacts with whole categories of medication. Dextroamphetamine (patch) falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Psilocybin in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
SEROTONERGIC DRUGS
1 of 2Why this applies to Dextroamphetamine (patch)
Dextroamphetamine (patch) falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Psilocybin interacts with.
Psilocybin has serotonin 2A (5-HT2A) receptor agonist activity. Theoretically, combining serotonergic drugs with psilocybin might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the concern with pairing psilocybin and your dextroamphetamine patch (Xelstrym). Both of these can nudge up serotonin activity in the brain. Psilocybin acts directly on serotonin 5-HT2A receptors, and amphetamines can raise serotonin along with dopamine and norepinephrine. Stack them together and you may get too much serotonin signaling at once.
In theory, that raises the risk of serotonin syndrome, which can look like agitation, a racing heart, high blood pressure, sweating, tremor, muscle twitching, or confusion. I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical warning based on how the drugs work, and it hasn't actually been reported in people using them together. Since psilocybin isn't a legal, supervised option, please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing anything with your patch.

STIMULANT DRUGS
2 of 2Dextroamphetamine (patch) also falls under STIMULANT DRUGS.
Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of psilocybin, concomitant use with stimulant drugs may increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: both psilocybin and your dextroamphetamine patch (Xelstrym) rev up the nervous system, just in different ways. Stacking two stimulating things together can pile on the effects, so in theory you might see a faster heart rate, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling anxious and wired. On the mental side, psilocybin's intense effects could also feel amplified.
Keep in mind this warning is theoretical, based on how these two act in the body rather than solid studies in real people. Still, psilocybin is not an approved or legal supplement, and mixing it with an amphetamine isn't something I'd take lightly. If this is on your mind, please talk it through with your doctor or pharmacist first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dextroamphetamine (patch) page
“Ephedra sits at the very top of the concerns for anyone using the dextroamphetamine patch (Xelstrym). The herb is a stimulant in its own right, and stacking two stimulants can push blood pressure and heart strain into dangerous territory.”

About Psilocybin
What is Psilocybin?
- Depression
- Anxiety (including in serious illness)
- Substance use disorders
- Post-traumatic stress
- Spiritual or psychological exploration
Psilocybin is a powerful psychedelic compound found in certain mushrooms and is being studied for hard-to-treat depression, anxiety, and addiction, but it is still investigational and not an approved supplement. It is illegal in most places, can cause intense and unpredictable mental effects, and should never be used outside of a supervised clinical setting.
