Nitrazepam falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Tianeptine interacts with.

Tianeptine has sedative effects; high doses may have additive effects with other CNS depressants.
Higher doses of tianeptine have opioid like effects and may have additive effects with other sedative drugs. In one case report, a 42-year-old male presented with respiratory depression and aspiration pneumonia due to concomitant use of high-dose tianeptine and alprazolam.

Here's the key concern with these two together: Nitrazepam is a benzodiazepine that already slows down your brain and breathing, causing drowsiness, muscle relaxation, and slowed reflexes. Tianeptine, especially at the higher doses found in many over-the-counter 'gas station' products, can act a lot like an opioid and pile sedation on top of sedation. Stacked together, that can mean dangerously deep drowsiness, confusion, and in serious cases slowed or stopped breathing.

This warning is based on pharmacology and a case report where someone mixed high-dose tianeptine with a similar drug and developed respiratory depression, so it's a realistic worry, not just theory. I'd strongly urge you not to combine these and to talk with your doctor or pharmacist first, especially since over-the-counter tianeptine carries real addiction and overdose risks.
