Hydrochlorothiazide, Propranolol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, turmeric might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2. However, research is conflicting.
In vitro and animal research show that the turmeric constituent, curcumin, inhibits CYP1A2. However, other in vitro research suggests that curcumin does not significantly affect CYP1A2.

Inderide combines two medicines: propranolol (a beta blocker) and hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill). The piece that matters here is the propranolol, which the body partly clears using a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In test-tube and animal studies, the curcumin in turmeric might slow that enzyme down a little. If that happened in people, propranolol could build up slightly, which in theory could mean a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, lightheadedness, or feeling more tired than usual.

The honest truth is this is mostly theory, and the research even disagrees with itself. Cooking with turmeric is very unlikely to cause any problem. If you take concentrated curcumin capsules, it is worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you notice dizziness.
