How safe is it?
Well-documented data
L-Glutamine is generally well tolerated in healthy adults. The most common side effects from oral use are mild gastrointestinal symptoms — belching, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, and vomiting.
A few people have reported dizziness or headache, and very rarely, mood changes (mania or hypomania) have been reported in people with bipolar disorder taking high doses. If you have kidney or liver disease, use this supplement only under medical supervision.
Pregnancy safety is rated Likely Safe, but there's not enough reliable safety data about breastfeeding, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it while nursing.

Directions: As a dietary supplement, mix 1 scoop with 6-10 ounces of water or juice. Consume after exercise, and take another serving prior to bed. For general use, consume 1-4 servings daily.
