Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This powder contains 9 ingredients, of which we've identified active components. The primary ingredient is calcium lactate, a form of supplemental calcium that supports bone health and other bodily functions.
You'll also find agmatine sulfate, L-carnitine, resveratrol, kudzu root extract, ellagic acid, and arimistane—compounds marketed to support athletic performance and hormonal balance, though clinical evidence for many is limited or absent. The remaining ingredients are 7,8-benzoflavone and mulberry extract, plus a proprietary blend.
Inactive ingredients include citric acid, food coloring (FD&C Blue No. 1), flavorings, sucralose for sweetness, and silicon dioxide as an anti-caking agent.
Does it work?
Insufficient evidence
Calcium in this product is effective for bone health, low calcium levels (hypocalcemia), and kidney-related electrolyte problems like high potassium (hyperkalemia), and is likely effective for preventing osteoporosis. L-carnitine is effective for carnitine deficiency and possibly effective for heart failure and high cholesterol.
Resveratrol is possibly effective for obesity and hay fever, though it's rated possibly ineffective for heart disease and high cholesterol. Kudzu is possibly effective for alcohol use disorder but has insufficient evidence for most other uses listed.
Agmatine, ellagic acid, and arimistane all lack sufficient reliable evidence in our data to establish whether they work for their claimed purposes—athletic performance, erectile function, muscle strength, and blood sugar control are all rated as insufficiently studied.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Calcium is generally well tolerated at recommended doses, though high amounts can cause constipation, diarrhea, gas, and stomach upset. Long-term use of more than 1,500–2,000 mg daily has been weakly linked to increased prostate cancer risk and possibly cardiovascular concerns in some studies, though the evidence is mixed.
Agmatine is well tolerated short-term but long-term safety isn't established; it may cause diarrhea, indigestion, or nausea. L-carnitine is generally well tolerated but can cause stomach upset, nausea, abdominal pain, and a fish-like body odor at higher doses; a rare risk of seizures has been reported.
Resveratrol commonly causes digestive upset and loose stools and is generally well tolerated, though high-dose safety is unknown. Kudzu is well tolerated short-term but can cause nausea, bloating, and rarely a rash.
Arimistane is a hormone-altering agent with little safety data and carries warnings from regulators; it should be avoided entirely. Ellagic acid in concentrated supplement form (as opposed to food sources) is poorly studied in humans.
Meds to double-check
Major interaction found
Before taking this product, double-check these medication types with your pharmacist or the search tool on this page: HIV integrase inhibitors (dolutegravir, elvitegravir, raltegravir)—calcium reduces their levels; intravenous ceftriaxone (antibiotic)—dangerous to mix with calcium; thyroid hormones like levothyroxine—calcium blocks absorption; heart rhythm drugs (sotalol, diltiazem); blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (warfarin, aspirin, etc.)—resveratrol and L-carnitine may increase bleeding risk; blood pressure-lowering medications—agmatine may amplify the effect; diabetes medications—agmatine, kudzu, and ellagic acid may lower blood sugar further; and aromatase inhibitors (breast cancer drugs)—arimistane may have additive effects.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with insufficient evidence for its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you take any prescription medication—especially HIV drugs, thyroid hormones, blood thinners, blood pressure or diabetes medicines, or antibiotics—check your exact drugs with our medication search tool before starting this product. Arimistane is a hormone-altering ingredient with minimal safety data and regulatory warnings; consider whether you want that in your supplement.
Talk with your pharmacist or doctor about whether the other ingredients and their potential interactions or side effects make sense for you.

Thor's Hammer Test Booster Blue Raspberry by Valhalla Labs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Thor's Hammer Test Booster Blue Raspberry by Valhalla Labs has documented interactions with a substantial number of medications—chiefly because its calcium content affects how your body handles certain drugs.
The most serious concern is calcium's interaction with dolutegravir (Tivicay), an HIV medication: calcium can cut dolutegravir levels by roughly 40%, making the drug less effective at controlling the virus. You'd need to space doses at least 2 hours apart or 6 hours after taking this product.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Calcium also interacts with the antibiotic ceftriaxone (given intravenously) and the HIV drug elvitegravir (Vitekta) at Major severity. For ceftriaxone, intravenous calcium risks forming dangerous crystals in your lungs and kidneys—avoid any calcium within 48 hours of that antibiotic.
Elvitegravir levels drop similarly to dolutegravir, requiring a 2-hour separation before or after this product.
At Moderate severity, calcium reduces absorption of the thyroid hormone levothyroxine (Synthroid), the heart drug sotalol (Betapace), and the anticoagulant raltegravir (Isentress). You'd need to take levothyroxine at least 4 hours away from this product.
Resveratrol in this formula may increase bleeding risk with blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs. Agmatine and kudzu extract theoretically lower blood pressure and blood sugar, which could amplify antihypertensive and antidiabetes medications.
Additionally, L-carnitine may enhance the effect of warfarin (Coumadin) or similar blood thinners.
Altogether, these interactions span 1,233 individual medications. Several ingredients we could not check for interactions: 7,8-benzoflavone and mulberry extract have no interaction data on file.

Resveratrol
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Resveratrol may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Resveratrol seems to have antiplatelet effects.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates
Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.
Kudzu Root Extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, kudzu may increase the risk of bleeding if used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
Kudzu isoflavones are reported to have antiplatelet activity.
Caffeine
Theoretically, taking kudzu with caffeine might increase levels of caffeine.
In healthy males injected with the kudzu constituent puerarin, caffeine clearance and metabolism is inhibited. This effect has been attributed to inhibition of cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) enzyme, which is involved in caffeine metabolism. It is unclear if taking kudzu orally would have this same effect.
Estrogens
Theoretically, kudzu might alter the effects of estrogen therapy.
Some research suggests that kudzu has estrogenic effects. This may enhance or inhibit the effects of estrogen therapy.
Hepatotoxic Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use might have additive hepatotoxic effects.
There is some concern that kudzu can adversely affect the liver.
Methotrexate (Trexall, Others)
Theoretically, taking kudzu with methotrexate might increase the risk of methotrexate toxicity.
Preclinical research suggests that kudzu extract greatly reduces the elimination and increases the toxicity of methotrexate. Kudzu might inhibit organic anion transporters (OATs) that are responsible for hepatobiliary and renal excretion of anions, similar to the interaction between methotrexate and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Tamoxifen (Nolvadex)
Theoretically, kudzu might interfere with tamoxifen activity.
Some research suggests that kudzu may have estrogenic effects.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking kudzu with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Kudzu might lower blood glucose levels and have additive effects in patients treated with antidiabetic agents. The dose of diabetes medications might need to be adjusted.
Agmatine Sulfate
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, agmatine might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal and in vitro research suggest that agmatine has mild hypoglycemic effects.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, agmatine might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research suggests that agmatine can modestly decrease heart rate and blood pressure.
Calcium Lactate
Ceftriaxone (Rocephin)
Co-administration of intravenous calcium and ceftriaxone can result in precipitation of a ceftriaxone-calcium salt in the lungs and kidneys.
Avoid administering intravenous calcium in any form, such as parenteral nutrition or Lactated Ringers, within 48 hours of intravenous ceftriaxone. Case reports in neonates show that administering intravenous ceftriaxone and calcium can result in precipitation of a ceftriaxone-calcium salt in the lungs and kidneys. In several cases, neonates have died as a result of this interaction. So far there are no reports in adults; however, there is still concern that this interaction might occur in adults.
Dolutegravir (Tivicay)
Calcium seems to reduce levels of dolutegravir.
Advise patients to take dolutegravir either 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking calcium supplements. Pharmacokinetic research suggests that taking calcium carbonate 1200 mg concomitantly with dolutegravir 50 mg reduces plasma levels of dolutegravir by almost 40%. Calcium appears to decrease levels of dolutegravir through chelation.
Elvitegravir (Vitekta)
Calcium seems to reduce levels of elvitegravir.
Advise patients to take elvitegravir either 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking calcium supplements. Pharmacokinetic research suggests that taking calcium along with elvitegravir can reduce blood levels of elvitegravir through chelation.
Aluminum
Calcium citrate might increase aluminum absorption and toxicity. Other types of calcium do not increase aluminum absorption.
Calcium citrate can increase the absorption of aluminum when taken with aluminum hydroxide. The increase in aluminum levels may become toxic, particularly in individuals with kidney disease. However, the effect of calcium citrate on aluminum absorption is due to the citrate anion rather than calcium cation. Calcium acetate does not appear to increase aluminum absorption.
Bictegravir/Emtricitabine/Tenofovir Alafenamide (Biktarvy)
Calcium might decrease levels of bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide by reducing its absorption when taken in a fasting state.
Advise patients that bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide and calcium can be taken together if taken with food. However, if taken on an empty stomach, bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide should not be taken with, or 2 hours after, calcium containing products.
Bisphosphonates
Calcium reduces the absorption of bisphosphonates.
Advise patients to take bisphosphonates at least 30 minutes before calcium, but preferably at a different time of day. Calcium supplements decrease absorption of bisphosphonates.
Calcipotriene (Dovonex)
Taking calcipotriene with calcium might increase the risk for hypercalcemia.
Calcipotriene is a vitamin D analog used topically for psoriasis. It can be absorbed in sufficient amounts to cause systemic effects, including hypercalcemia. Theoretically, combining calcipotriene with calcium supplements might increase the risk of hypercalcemia.
Digoxin (Lanoxin)
Using intravenous calcium with digoxin might increase the risk of fatal cardiac arrhythmias.
Hypercalcemia increases the risk of fatal cardiac arrhythmias with digoxin. However, one retrospective analysis of clinical data suggests that intravenous calcium does not increase the risk of dysrhythmias or mortality in patients receiving digoxin.
Diltiazem (Cardizem, Others)
Theoretically, calcium may reduce the therapeutic effects of diltiazem.
Hypercalcemia can reduce the effectiveness of verapamil in atrial fibrillation. Theoretically, calcium might increase this risk of hypercalcemia and reduce the effectiveness of diltiazem.
Levothyroxine (Synthroid, Others)
Calcium seems to reduce the absorption and effectiveness of levothyroxine.
Advise patients to take levothyroxine and calcium supplements at least 4 hours apart. Calcium reduces levothyroxine absorption, probably by forming insoluble complexes. Calcium carbonate supplements reduce effectiveness of levothyroxine in patients with hypothyroidism.
Lithium
Theoretically, concomitant use of calcium and lithium may increase this risk of hypercalcemia.
Clinical research suggests that long-term use of lithium may cause hypercalcemia in 10% to 60% of patients. Theoretically, concomitant use of lithium and calcium supplements may further increase this risk.
Quinolone Antibiotics
Calcium seems to reduce the absorption of quinolone antibiotics.
Advise patients to take oral quinolones at least 2 hours before or 4-6 hours after calcium supplements or calcium-fortified foods. Taking calcium at the same time as oral quinolones can reduce quinolone absorption. Calcium binds to quinolones in the gut.
Raltegravir (Isentress)
Calcium may reduce levels of raltegravir.
Pharmacokinetic research shows that taking a single dose of calcium carbonate 3000 mg along with raltegravir 400 mg twice daily modestly decreases the mean area under the curve of raltegravir, but the decrease does not necessitate a dose adjustment of raltegravir. However, a case of elevated HIV-1 RNA levels and documented resistance to raltegravir has been reported for a patient taking calcium carbonate 1 gram three times daily plus vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 400 IU three times daily in combination with raltegravir 400 mg twice daily for 11 months. It is thought that calcium reduced raltegravir levels by chelation, leading to treatment failure.
Sotalol (Betapace)
Calcium seems to reduce the absorption of sotalol.
Advise patients to separate doses by at least 2 hours before or 4-6 hours after calcium. Calcium appears to reduce the absorption of sotalol, probably by forming insoluble complexes.
Tetracycline Antibiotics
Calcium seems to reduce the absorption of tetracycline antibiotics.
Advise patients to take oral tetracyclines at least 2 hours before, or 4-6 hours after calcium supplements. Taking calcium at the same time as oral tetracyclines can reduce tetracycline absorption. Calcium binds to tetracyclines in the gut.
Thiazide Diuretics
Taking calcium along with thiazides might increase the risk of hypercalcemia and renal failure.
Thiazides reduce calcium excretion by the kidneys. Using thiazides along with moderately large amounts of calcium carbonate increases the risk of milk-alkali syndrome (hypercalcemia, metabolic alkalosis, renal failure). Patients may need to have their serum calcium levels and/or parathyroid function monitored regularly.
Verapamil (Calan, Others)
Theoretically, calcium may reduce the therapeutic effects of verapamil.
Hypercalcemia can reduce the effectiveness of verapamil in atrial fibrillation. Theoretically, use of calcium supplements may increase this risk of hypercalcemia and reduce the effectiveness of verapamil.
Calcium Channel Blockers
Intravenous calcium may decrease the effects of calcium channel blockers; oral calcium is unlikely to have this effect.
Intravenous calcium is used to decrease the effects of calcium channel blockers in the management of overdose. Intravenous calcium gluconate has been used before intravenous verapamil (Isoptin) to prevent or reduce the hypotensive effects without affecting the antiarrhythmic effects. But there is no evidence that dietary or supplemental calcium when taken orally interacts with calcium channel blockers.
Mulberry extract
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, black mulberry leaf might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
One small clinical study shows that black mulberry leaf extract has hypoglycemic effects. This is supported by in vitro research which also suggests that constituents in black mulberry twigs and leaves might have hypoglycemic effects.
Midazolam (Versed)
Theoretically, black mulberry might inhibit the metabolism of midazolam.
In vitro research shows that black mulberry juice can inhibit midazolam 1'-hydroxylation, a reaction that is catalyzed by cytochrome P450 3A4. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Ellagic Acid
Antidiabetes Drugs
Some clinical research shows that ellagic acid reduces fasting and postprandial glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes who are on stable doses of hypoglycemic agents such as metformin. Theoretically, taking ellagic acid with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
L-Carnitine
Acenocoumarol (Sintrom)
Theoretically, L-carnitine might increase the anticoagulant effects of acenocoumarol.
L-carnitine might enhance the anticoagulant effects of acenocoumarol, an oral anticoagulant similar to warfarin, but shorter-acting. There are at least two case reports of INR elevation with concomitant use. In one case, a 33-year-old male with a previously stable INR had an elevated INR of 4.65 after L-carnitine was started and continued for 10 weeks. INR normalized after discontinuation of the L-carnitine-containing product.
Thyroid Hormone
Theoretically, L-carnitine might decrease the effectiveness of thyroid hormone replacement.
L-carnitine appears to act as a peripheral thyroid hormone antagonist by inhibiting entry of thyroid hormone into the nucleus of cells. Taking L-carnitine also seems to diminish some of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, L-carnitine might increase the anticoagulant effects of warfarin.
L-carnitine might increase the anticoagulant effects of acenocoumarol, a shorter-acting oral anticoagulant similar to warfarin. There is not enough information to know whether this interaction occurs with L-carnitine and warfarin.
Arimistane
Aromatase Inhibitors
It is believed that Arimistane inhibits the aromatase enzyme, which may interact with other aromatase inhibitors. This interaction could potentially increase the risk of side effects associated with low estrogen levels or from additive side effects, such as an increased risk of liver toxicity. It is recommended to consult with a healthcare provider before combining Arimistane with other aromatase inhibitors to assess the potential risks and benefits.
