This combination pill includes codeine, an opioid that can make you feel sleepy or foggy. 5-HTP raises serotonin in your body, and in studies it has been linked to drowsiness on its own. So the concern here is simple: stacking the two could add up to more sedation than you'd expect from either alone. You might feel extra tired, slowed down, or less sharp, especially when you first combine them.

To be fair, this is a theoretical caution based on how these substances behave, not strong real-world proof, so don't panic. Still, take it seriously since codeine already causes sleepiness. Before mixing them, check with your pharmacist or doctor, and avoid driving until you know how you feel.
