Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Aspirin, Pentazocine
Aspirin, Pentazocine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group 5-htp interacts with.
In clinical trials, 5-HTP has been associated with drowsiness and somnolence.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Talwin Compound contains pentazocine, an opioid pain reliever, along with aspirin. The pentazocine part is what matters here: like other opioids, it can make you sleepy, slow your thinking, and affect your breathing. 5-HTP can add to that drowsiness because it has been linked to sleepiness in studies, so pairing the two could leave you more groggy or foggy than expected.
This concern is theoretical, based on how both work rather than strong real-world reports, so don't panic. Still, if you take this combo, watch for extra tiredness, dizziness, or trouble concentrating, and avoid driving until you know how you react. It's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Pentazocine page
“Talwin Compound pairs pentazocine, an opioid painkiller, with aspirin, and I read its supplement list with more concern than most. The great majority of entries do one of two things: raise the bleeding risk that aspirin already carries, or deepen the sedation pentazocine causes.”

5-HTP is a compound your body uses to make serotonin, and people take it as a supplement hoping to improve mood, sleep, and headaches.
