Tecvayli (teclistamab) is a strong therapy used for multiple myeloma. It works by directing your immune system's T cells to attack cancer cells. Because it relies on a carefully managed immune response, anything that revs up the immune system could, in theory, work against it or change how it behaves.

Here's the catch: this concern is theoretical and comes only from lab studies suggesting andrographis may stimulate immune activity. We don't have real-world human data showing a problem with teclistamab specifically. Still, given how serious this medication is and its known risks like cytokine release syndrome and infections, I wouldn't add andrographis on your own. Please run it by your oncology team or pharmacist first so they can weigh in.

What Is Teclistamab-cqyv Injection Used For?

Brand name: Tecvayli

Tecvayli (teclistamab-cqyv) injection is used to treat adults with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma — a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow — whose disease has come back or stopped responding to earlier treatments.

Tecvayli is approved in two settings: as monotherapy for patients who have received at least four prior lines of therapy (including a proteasome inhibitor, an immunomodulatory agent, and an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody); and in combination with daratumumab and hyaluronidase-fihj for patients who have received at least one prior line of therapy including a proteasome inhibitor and an immunomodulatory agent.
