Andrographis + Betaxolol
Betaxolol brand names: Kerlone, Betoptic.
Andrographis has a moderate interaction with Betaxolol. Theoretically, andrographis might increase the risk of hypotension when used with antihypertensive drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Betaxolol
Betaxolol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Andrographis interacts with.
Animal research suggests that andrographis has hypotensive effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: betaxolol is a beta blocker that already lowers your blood pressure and slows your heart rate. Andrographis, in animal studies, has shown its own mild blood-pressure-lowering effect. So the worry is that stacking the two could push your pressure down a little more than expected. This isn't about your liver breaking the drug down differently, it's simply two things nudging in the same direction.
That said, I want to be honest about the evidence here, it's only from lab and animal research, so this is more theoretical than proven. Still, keep an eye out for dizziness, lightheadedness, unusual tiredness, or feeling faint when you stand up. If you'd like to try andrographis, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first so they can check your numbers.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Betaxolol page
“Five of the 143 supplement ingredients that interact with betaxolol (Kerlone tablets for blood pressure, Betoptic drops for glaucoma) carry a major rating, so approach this page with real caution. Since betaxolol is a beta-blocker, nearly everything here plays on blood pressure.”

About Andrographis
What is Andrographis?
- Common cold and flu symptoms
- Upper respiratory infections
- Sore throat
- Fever
- Immune support
- Digestive complaints
Andrographis is a bitter Asian herb traditionally used for colds, flu, and infections, and some studies suggest it may ease cold symptoms and shorten how long they last. The evidence is limited and the quality of studies varies, so it should not replace standard care. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it, and avoid it during pregnancy.
About Betaxolol
What Is Betaxolol Used For?
Brand names: Kerlone, Betoptic
Betaxolol tablets are used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). They can be taken alone or with other blood pressure medicines, especially thiazide-type diuretics (water pills).
Betaxolol eye drops lower pressure inside the eye. They are used for ocular hypertension (high eye pressure) and chronic open-angle glaucoma. Betaxolol eye solution may be used alone or with other glaucoma drugs. Betoptic S (eye suspension 0.25%) is also used for elevated eye pressure in these two conditions.

Betaxolol Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Betaxolol as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Andrographis — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
