Andrographis + Acetazolamide
Acetazolamide brand names: Diamox, Ak-Zol.
Andrographis has a moderate interaction with Acetazolamide. Theoretically, andrographis might increase the risk of hypotension when used with antihypertensive drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Acetazolamide
Acetazolamide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Andrographis interacts with.
Animal research suggests that andrographis has hypotensive effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: andrographis seems to gently lower blood pressure, at least in animal studies. Acetazolamide (Diamox) isn't a classic blood pressure pill, but because it acts as a mild diuretic and pulls some fluid off, it can nudge your blood pressure down too. Stack the two and, in theory, you could feel a bit more lightheaded, dizzy, or tired than usual, especially when standing up quickly.
I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It comes from lab and animal work, not solid human studies, so it's more of a maybe than a sure thing. Still, if you take both and notice dizziness or feel washed out, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Acetazolamide page
“Acetazolamide, taken for glaucoma, altitude sickness, and certain seizure types, works partly as a diuretic and can make people drowsy, and most of the supplements that interact with it press on one of those two points. About Andrographis
What is Andrographis?
- Common cold and flu symptoms
- Upper respiratory infections
- Sore throat
- Fever
- Immune support
- Digestive complaints
Andrographis is a bitter Asian herb traditionally used for colds, flu, and infections, and some studies suggest it may ease cold symptoms and shorten how long they last. The evidence is limited and the quality of studies varies, so it should not replace standard care. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it, and avoid it during pregnancy.
About Acetazolamide
What Is Acetazolamide Used For?
Brand names: Diamox, Ak-Zol
Acetazolamide is used as an add-on (adjunctive) treatment. Across products, it is used for glaucoma, which is high pressure inside the eye.
Some products have more uses. Acetazolamide tablets and Acetazolamide injection are also used for swelling (edema) from congestive heart failure, drug-induced edema, and certain epilepsies (petit mal and unlocalized seizures). Acute mountain sickness prevention is listed for the tablets, the extended-release capsules, and one of the injection labels, but not every injection product.
