Hydrochlorothiazide, Losartan Potassium falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Ayahuasca interacts with.

Theoretically, ayahuasca might increase plasma concentrations of CYP3A4 substrates.
Ayahuasca contains beta-carboline alkaloids. In vitro research suggests that beta-carboline alkaloids competitively inhibit CYP3A4 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the honest picture with Hyzaar (losartan plus hydrochlorothiazide). The lab-only concern is that compounds in ayahuasca can block an enzyme called CYP3A4, which could let certain drugs build up. But losartan is actually a prodrug: your body needs to convert it (mainly through CYP2C9, with some CYP3A4) into its more active form. So if anything, slowing that conversion could make the blood pressure benefit a little weaker, not stronger. The water-pill part, hydrochlorothiazide, isn't really affected this way.

This is all theoretical and based on test-tube research, never confirmed in people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, ayahuasca carries its own serious risks. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before mixing anything.
