GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS
Why this applies to Acetaminophen
Acetaminophen falls under GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS — the group Breadfruit interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for Tylenol. Your liver clears most acetaminophen by attaching a sugar molecule to it, a process run by enzymes called UGTs. A compound in breadfruit (artocarpin) has been shown in lab dish studies to slow those UGT enzymes down. In theory, that could let acetaminophen build up a bit more than usual, nudging up its effect and the small risk of liver strain that comes with too much.
That said, this has never actually been reported in people, and it's only test-tube evidence so far. Eating breadfruit as a food is very unlikely to cause a problem. Concentrated leaf teas or extracts are the bigger unknown. As always, stay within the labeled acetaminophen dose, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before using breadfruit supplements regularly.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Acetaminophen page
“Acetaminophen (Tylenol) feels harmless because it sits on every shelf, but this list deserves real attention, mostly because of your liver. Of the 155 supplements and herbs on file, five carry a major rating, and the largest serious group, 38 ingredients, adds liver strain on top of acetaminophen's own well-known potential to harm the…”

About Breadfruit
What is Breadfruit?
- Source of nutrition and energy
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes and blood sugar support
- Inflammation and joint discomfort
- Skin conditions
Breadfruit is a starchy tropical fruit eaten as a staple food, and its leaves are used in traditional medicine for conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes. As a food it is nutritious and generally safe, but the medicinal use of leaf teas or extracts has very little human research to back it up. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using breadfruit products for a health condition.

Acetaminophen Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Acetaminophen as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Breadfruit — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
