Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Breadfruit interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs might increase the risk of bleeding. In vitro research shows that certain flavonoid constituents from breadfruit root extract can inhibit thromboxane formation and reduce platelet aggregation.
Some of these drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

The combo pill you're asking about (Damason-P) contains aspirin, and aspirin already thins the blood by blocking platelets from clumping together. Here's the wrinkle: some flavonoids in breadfruit have shown, in lab dish studies only, that they can also slow platelet activity and reduce thromboxane. So in theory, stacking the two could nudge your bleeding risk a little higher.

What that might look like in real life: easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach upset that lingers. I want to be honest though, this is theoretical and based on test-tube research, not people. Eating breadfruit as food is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated leaf teas or extracts are the bigger question mark, so check with your pharmacist or doctor before using those.

CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES

Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES.

Theoretically, breadfruit might inhibit cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) and increase levels of drugs metabolized by these enzymes; until more is known, use with caution. In vitro, the breadfruit constituent artocarpin can inhibit CYP3A4 enzymes. Also, animal research shows that breadfruit leaf extract can weakly inhibit CYP3A4 enzymes. However, it is unclear if this inhibitory activity causes a clinically meaningful effect on the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.
Some drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 include amitriptyline (Elavil), amiodarone (Cordarone), citalopram (Celexa), felodipine (Plendil), lansoprazole (Prevacid), ondansetron (Zofran), prednisone (Deltasone), sertraline (Zoloft), and many others.

In this combo pill (Damason-P), the part that matters most here is hydrocodone, an opioid pain reliever that your liver processes partly through an enzyme called CYP3A4. The theory on file is that compounds in breadfruit leaves might slow that enzyme a little. If hydrocodone clears more slowly, it could build up slightly, which in theory means more of its usual effects like drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing.

Here's the honest part: this is based only on lab and animal studies, and the effect looked weak. We don't have human evidence that it actually causes problems. Eating breadfruit as a food is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated leaf teas or extracts are the bigger question mark, so check with your pharmacist or doctor before using those alongside this medication.
