Captopril, Hydrochlorothiazide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Casein Peptides interacts with.

Theoretically, combining these casein peptides with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Clinical research shows that some casein peptides, including the lactotripeptides isoleucine-proline-proline (IPP) and valine-proline-proline (VPP), can modestly reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension.

Here's the gist: your Capozide already lowers blood pressure two ways. The captopril part is an ACE inhibitor, meaning it blocks that same ACE enzyme casein peptides seem to nudge in lab studies, and the hydrochlorothiazide part pulls off extra fluid. Casein peptides (especially the lactotripeptides IPP and VPP) may gently lower blood pressure on their own. Stacked together, the worry is simply too much of a good thing, an extra dip in pressure.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or woozy when standing, or notice more fatigue. The effect from supplements is usually modest, and a glass of milk won't matter. Still, before adding a concentrated casein peptide product, run it by your pharmacist or doctor and keep an eye on your readings.

What Is Captopril and Hydrochlorothiazide Used For?

Brand names: Capozide, Acezide

Captopril and hydrochlorothiazide tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). The two ingredients work together to lower blood pressure more effectively than either one alone.

This combination may be started as initial therapy or substituted when a patient has already been adjusted on both ingredients separately. It is approved for patients with normal kidney function, and is used more cautiously in those with impaired kidney function.
