Betamethasone falls under CORTICOSTEROIDS — the group Cesium interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cesium concomitantly with other drugs that deplete potassium, such as corticosteroids, may increase the risk of hypokalemia.
Cesium supplements have been associated with hypokalemia in many case reports.

Here's the concern with mixing cesium and betamethasone: both can pull down your potassium levels. Cesium chloride has been tied to low potassium (hypokalemia) in real-world case reports, and corticosteroids like betamethasone can also lower potassium when they're absorbed into the body. Stack the two and the risk goes up.

Honestly, though, my bigger worry is cesium itself. It has no proven benefit and is linked to dangerous heart rhythm problems, which low potassium makes even worse. Betamethasone applied to the skin usually causes little body-wide effect, but heavy or long-term use can change potassium. I'd strongly urge you not to use cesium at all, and to talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining anything with your steroid. This interaction is based on weak, anecdotal evidence.

What is Cesium?

Cesium chloride is a mineral salt sold as an alternative cancer therapy ('high pH therapy'), but there is no reliable scientific evidence that it treats cancer or any other disease. It can cause dangerous heart rhythm problems and even death, so it should not be used. What Is Betamethasone Topical Used For?

Brand names: Celestone, Diprolene AF, Diprosone

Betamethasone topical is used to relieve the redness, swelling, and itching of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses (skin conditions that respond to steroid treatment). Sernivo Spray is specifically approved for plaque psoriasis of the body. Diprolene (topical cream, ointment, or gel) is indicated for inflammatory and itchy skin conditions in patients 13 years of age and older.

This medication is for use on the skin only. It is not approved for use on the face, groin, or underarms, and it is not for use in the eyes, mouth, or vagina.
