Betamethasone Dipropionate falls under CORTICOSTEROIDS — the group Cesium interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cesium concomitantly with other drugs that deplete potassium, such as corticosteroids, may increase the risk of hypokalemia.
Cesium supplements have been associated with hypokalemia in many case reports.

First things first: cesium chloride is not something I'd ever recommend. It has no proven benefit for cancer or anything else, and it has caused dangerous heart rhythm problems. So this is really a 'please don't take cesium at all' conversation more than a true drug pairing.

That said, here's the theory behind the interaction. Cesium has been linked in case reports to low potassium (hypokalemia), and corticosteroids like betamethasone can also lower potassium. Stacking the two could in theory push potassium down further. Now, betamethasone dipropionate (Sernivo) is a topical cream you put on your skin, so very little gets into your bloodstream, and the potassium effect from a skin steroid is usually tiny. The bigger worry here is cesium itself. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.

What Is Betamethasone Topical Used For?

Brand name: Sernivo

Betamethasone topical is used to relieve the redness, swelling, and itching of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses (skin conditions that respond to steroid treatment). Sernivo Spray is specifically approved for plaque psoriasis of the body. Diprolene (topical cream, ointment, or gel) is indicated for inflammatory and itchy skin conditions in patients 13 years of age and older.

This medication is for use on the skin only. It is not approved for use on the face, groin, or underarms, and it is not for use in the eyes, mouth, or vagina.
