Here's the simple version. Corn silk has a mild ability to lower blood pressure on its own. Bosentan (Tracleer) relaxes and opens the blood vessels in your lungs, and it can already nudge your overall blood pressure down a bit. Stack the two together and those effects may add up, so your pressure could dip lower than expected.

If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, unusually tired, or wobbly when you stand up quickly. To be clear, this is a theoretical concern based on how corn silk behaves, not a proven, dangerous combo, and a little corn silk tea is less of an issue than concentrated extracts. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it, since Bosentan is a serious lung medication you shouldn't adjust on your own.

What Is Bosentan Used For?

Brand name: Tracleer

Bosentan is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) — high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs. In adults, it helps improve the ability to exercise and slows how quickly the disease gets worse.

In children aged 3 years and older with idiopathic (no known cause) or congenital (present from birth) PAH, bosentan is used to lower resistance in the lung blood vessels, which is expected to improve exercise ability. Tracleer is one brand approved for both adults and pediatric patients with PAH.
