Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Animal research suggests that berberine may have sedative effects. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also have CNS depressants effects.

This combination product is interesting because of the codeine part. Codeine is an opioid that already slows down your nervous system, which is why it can cause drowsiness, slowed breathing, and a foggy, sleepy feeling. The acetaminophen and salicylamide handle pain, while the caffeine is a mild pickup. Corydalis yanhusuo may have its own calming, sedative effects on the brain. So when you pair the two, the worry is simply that you could feel more sleepy, dizzy, or sluggish than usual.
Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern drawn from lab and animal studies, not strong human evidence, so it may not amount to much. Still, since codeine is involved, play it safe and check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES

Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence show that berberine can inhibit CYP2D6. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2D6.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the wrinkle with this combo product: the codeine in it is a prodrug. Your body has to use an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn codeine into morphine, which is what actually relieves your pain. Corydalis may contain compounds (like berberine) that can slow down CYP2D6.
So instead of building codeine up, this interaction could mean less of it gets converted to morphine, leaving you with weaker pain relief. The good news is that this is theoretical, based mostly on lab work, so it may not amount to much in real life. The acetaminophen, caffeine, and salicylamide parts aren't really the concern here. If you rely on this for pain, check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing it with Corydalis.

Your combo tablet packs several ingredients, but the one that matters most here is codeine. Codeine itself is fairly inactive until your body converts it into morphine, mostly through an enzyme called CYP2D6. The interaction on file is about a different enzyme, CYP3A4, which helps clear codeine down a side pathway. Corydalis may gently slow CYP3A4, so in theory a bit more codeine could linger and shift toward the active form.
If that happens, you might feel more drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing. Honestly though, this is a theoretical concern based mostly on lab work, not strong human studies, so don't panic. Just check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, especially if you already feel very sleepy.
