Here's the simple version. Kazano combines two medicines (alogliptin and metformin) that already work to bring your blood sugar down. Corydalis yanhusuo may contain berberine, a plant compound that some studies show can also nudge blood sugar lower. So in theory, stacking the two could push your numbers down a little more than expected, raising the chance of low blood sugar.

If that happened, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, irritable, or unusually tired. I'll be honest though: this concern is theoretical, based on how these ingredients behave, not on solid human studies of this combination. It's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding the herb, and keeping an eye on your readings if you do.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase the therapeutic and adverse effects of metformin.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro and animal studies show that berberine can increase the systemic exposure and half-life of metformin, potentially increasing metformin's effects and side effects. This interaction seems to be most apparent when berberine is administered 2 hours prior to metformin. Taking berberine and metformin at the same time does not appear to increase systemic exposure to metformin. It is unclear if Corydalis yanhusuo might have this same effect.

Your Kazano combines two diabetes medicines, and the part we're watching here is the metformin. Corydalis is thought to contain berberine, and in lab and animal studies berberine can slow how the body clears metformin. That means more metformin could hang around, nudging its blood-sugar-lowering effect (and its side effects) a bit higher. With metformin that might mean more nausea, stomach upset, or diarrhea, and possibly lower blood sugar than usual.

Honestly, this is a theoretical concern based on pharmacology, not proven in people taking Corydalis itself, so I wouldn't panic. Interestingly, the effect mainly showed up when berberine was taken hours before metformin, not at the same time. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing these.
