These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Caffeine, Dover's Pwd falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Corydalis Yanhusuo in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
1 of 2Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Dover's Pwd
Aspirin, Caffeine, Dover's Pwd falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combination product mixes aspirin, caffeine, and Dover's Powder (which contains ipecac and opium for pain and cough). The concern here is mostly about the caffeine and the opium portion, since those are partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Corydalis contains berberine, which may modestly slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let a little more caffeine or opioid linger in your system.
What that might look like in real life: more jitteriness, a racing heart, or trouble sleeping from the caffeine, or extra drowsiness from the opium part. Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based on lab work, not solid human studies, so it may not amount to much. Still, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
2 of 2Aspirin, Caffeine, Dover's Pwd also falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro and in vivo research suggest that berberine can inhibit platelet aggregation. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit platelet aggregation.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to keep in mind with this combo. Your medicine contains aspirin, which already thins the blood a little by making platelets less sticky. Corydalis yanhusuo is thought to do something similar, so stacking the two could, in theory, add up and raise your chances of bleeding or bruising more easily. Realistically that might look like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, dark stools, or cuts that take longer to stop.
I want to be honest about the evidence though. This concern comes only from lab and animal studies, not solid human research, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Still, since this product also includes caffeine and an opioid (Dover's powder), please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing it with corydalis rather than guessing.
