Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Animal research suggests that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, a clinical study suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also reduce blood pressure.

Teczem is a combination pill that pairs diltiazem (a calcium channel blocker) with enalapril (an ACE inhibitor). Both lower your blood pressure, and that's where corydalis comes in. This herb contains berberine, and lab and animal work (plus a small human study with a different blood pressure drug) hints that berberine can nudge blood pressure down too.

So the concern here is simple addition: corydalis plus your medication may push your blood pressure lower than expected. That could leave you feeling dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or faint, especially when standing up quickly. Keep in mind this is a theoretical interaction based on pharmacology, not strong human proof. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, and don't change your medication on your own.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.

This combo pill pairs diltiazem (a calcium channel blocker) with enalapril (an ACE inhibitor) for blood pressure. The diltiazem half is the part that matters here. It's cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, and Corydalis may gently slow that enzyme down. The thinking is that if diltiazem is broken down more slowly, a bit more could build up in your blood over time.

If that happened, you might notice more of diltiazem's usual effects, like a lower blood pressure, dizziness, a slower heart rate, or swollen ankles. I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on lab work, not solid human studies, so it may not be a big deal for many people. Still, since blood pressure is involved, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
