Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Animal research suggests that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, a clinical study suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also reduce blood pressure.

Here's the gist: isradipine (Dynacirc CR) is a calcium channel blocker that already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels. Corydalis yanhusuo may have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect of its own, partly because it can contain berberine. So if you take them together, the worry is that they could stack up and push your pressure lower than intended.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or flushed, especially when standing up quickly. To be honest, this is a theoretical concern based mostly on lab and animal data, not solid human studies, so it may not amount to much for most people. Still, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't change your isradipine on your own.

Here's the gist with isradipine and corydalis. Your body clears isradipine using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Corydalis may contain berberine, which can mildly slow that same enzyme down. If it does, isradipine could clear out a bit slower and build up in your blood, which can make its blood-pressure-lowering effect stronger than expected.

In real life that might show up as dizziness, lightheadedness, flushing, headache, swollen ankles, or a faster heartbeat, especially when you stand up. I'll be honest though: this concern is mostly theoretical, based on lab work rather than solid human studies, so it may not amount to much. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't change your isradipine on your own.
