Pentobarbitone is a barbiturate, a strong sedative that slows down your brain and nervous system. It is already very good at making you drowsy and relaxed. The concern here is simple: Corydalis yanhusuo may have its own mild calming, sedative-like effects based on the natural compounds it contains. Stacking two things that both quiet the brain could add up.

If they pile on top of each other, you could feel more sleepy than expected, dizzy, unsteady, or slow to think, and in theory your breathing could become more depressed. I want to be honest, though: this is a theoretical concern drawn from lab and animal work, not proven in people. Still, with a powerful drug like this, it is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Pentobarbitone is a barbiturate, a strong sedative that calms the brain and nervous system. Here's the concern: Corydalis yanhusuo contains compounds (including berberine and some alkaloids that act on the brain) that may add to that calming effect. In animal studies, berberine made pentobarbital-induced sleep last longer. So in theory, pairing the two could leave you more drowsy than expected, with effects like deep sleepiness, slowed breathing, confusion, or feeling groggy and unsteady.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. This is a theoretical concern based on lab and animal research, not proven in people. Still, because pentobarbitone is a powerful sedative, it's worth respecting. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them rather than guessing on your own.
