These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with whole categories of medication. Perindopril Arginine, Amlodipine falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Corydalis Yanhusuo in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
1 of 2Why this applies to Perindopril Arginine, Amlodipine
Perindopril Arginine, Amlodipine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Animal research suggests that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, a clinical study suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also reduce blood pressure.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Prestalia is a two-in-one blood pressure pill: perindopril (an ACE inhibitor) plus amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker). Both already work to bring your blood pressure down. The concern here is that Corydalis yanhusuo may contain compounds, including berberine, that can also nudge blood pressure lower. So instead of a new chemical clash, you'd simply be stacking two blood-pressure-lowering effects on top of each other.
If they add up too much, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or even faint, especially when standing up quickly. Keep in mind this is a theoretical interaction based mostly on lab and animal work, not strong human studies. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them rather than adjusting anything yourself.

CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
2 of 2Perindopril Arginine, Amlodipine also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Prestalia combines two blood pressure medicines: perindopril (an ACE inhibitor) and amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker). The piece that matters here is amlodipine, since your body relies on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear it out. Corydalis yanhusuo may gently slow that enzyme down, which could let more amlodipine linger in your system.
If that happens, you might notice amlodipine's effects turning up a notch: more dizziness or lightheadedness, swelling in your ankles or feet, flushing, or blood pressure dropping lower than intended. To be clear, this is only a theoretical concern based on lab data, not proven in people, so it may never cause trouble. Still, since blood pressure swings matter, check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
