Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.

Here's the gist for your prostate cancer medicine. Relugolix is partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine, which lab and early human studies suggest may slow that same enzyme down. If the enzyme works slower, more relugolix could linger in your body, which in theory could raise the odds of side effects like hot flashes, tiredness, joint pain, or changes in your heart's rhythm.

I want to be honest that this concern is mostly theoretical and based on how these compounds behave, not on strong studies in people. Still, since relugolix is treating something serious, it's worth a quick chat with your oncology pharmacist or doctor before adding corydalis. Please don't stop or change your relugolix on your own.
