Your Avandaryl tablet combines two diabetes medicines, and both rosiglitazone and glimepiride are cleared from your body by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Corydalis is thought to contain berberine, which early research suggests can slow that enzyme down. If it does, these two drugs could clear a bit more slowly and build up in your blood, nudging their effects stronger than expected.

The piece I'd watch most is glimepiride, since higher levels can push your blood sugar too low. That can show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, hunger, or confusion. Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based on lab work, not proven in people. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor, and check your sugars if you do try it.

Avandaryl combines two diabetes medicines: glimepiride, which pushes your body to release more insulin, and rosiglitazone, which helps your cells respond to insulin better. Both lower your blood sugar. Corydalis yanhusuo contains compounds (including small amounts of berberine) that may also nudge blood sugar down on their own. So the concern here is simple addition: taking them together could theoretically push your blood sugar lower than expected.

I want to be honest, though, that this is a theoretical worry based on how these things work, not on solid human studies. The bigger risk comes from glimepiride, which can already cause low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion). If you ever add Corydalis, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your readings.
