Here's the big picture: the Librax you're asking about contains chlordiazepoxide, a benzodiazepine that calms the brain and slows nerve activity. GHB is also a strong brain depressant. Stack the two together and their sedating effects pile up. That can mean heavy drowsiness, confusion, slurred speech, poor balance, and in the worst case dangerously slow or shallow breathing that you may not wake up from.

This warning is rated major and likely to happen, even though the proof is mostly anecdotal (real-world reports rather than formal studies). Honestly, non-prescription GHB isn't safe to use at all. Please don't combine these, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making any change to your medicines.

GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) is a powerful central nervous system depressant that is NOT a safe dietary supplement. In the U.S. it is a controlled substance, and only a tightly regulated prescription form (sodium oxybate) is legal for narcolepsy. Non-prescription GHB can cause coma, breathing failure, and death, and it is also a known 'date-rape' drug — it should not be taken outside of medical supervision.

Chlordiazepoxide and clidinium capsules are used to help control both the physical and emotional factors involved in gastrointestinal (digestive) disorders. This includes use as add-on therapy for peptic ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome (also called irritable colon, spastic colon, or mucous colitis), and acute enterocolitis (sudden inflammation of the intestines).

Librax is one brand available in capsule form and is approved for the same set of gastrointestinal uses.
