Goji + Sulfamethoxazole
Sulfamethoxazole brand name: Gantanol.
Goji has a moderate interaction with Sulfamethoxazole. Theoretically, goji berry might inhibit CYP2C9 and reduce metabolism of CYP2C9 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Sulfamethoxazole
Sulfamethoxazole falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Goji interacts with.
In vitro research shows that goji berry tincture and juice inhibit CYP2C9 enzymes. Additionally, multiple case reports suggest that goji berry concentrated tea and juice inhibit the metabolism of warfarin, a CYP2C9 substrate. Concomitant use with goji may decrease metabolism and increase levels of CYP2C9 substrates.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: your body partly uses an enzyme called CYP2C9 to clear sulfamethoxazole (often found in the combo Bactrim or as Gantanol). Goji berry may gently block that enzyme, so in theory the drug could clear a little slower and build up. If that happened, you might notice more of the usual sulfamethoxazole side effects, like nausea, skin rash, sensitivity to sunlight, or upset stomach.
Now, the calm part: this is mostly based on lab studies and case reports involving warfarin, not solid human data on this antibiotic. A few goji berries as food are very unlikely to matter. Concentrated goji juice, tea, or supplements are where I'd be more cautious. Since you're on a short course of an antibiotic, just give your pharmacist or doctor a quick heads-up before mixing the two.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Sulfamethoxazole page
“Sulfamethoxazole (Gantanol) is a sulfa antibiotic, and a few supplements can genuinely undermine it or harm you while taking it, so this is a list worth reading closely. The supplement PABA can directly block how the antibiotic kills bacteria, and it is one of five major-rated entries among the 162 on file.”

Natural Medicines records Sulfamethoxazole as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Goji — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
