Insulin Degludec falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Goji interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of goji fruit polysaccharides or goji root bark with antidiabetes drugs might have additive effects.
Animal and in vitro research show that goji root bark and fruit polysaccharides might have hypoglycemic effects. However, clinical research has only shown that taking goji fruit polysaccharides with or without antidiabetes drugs modestly reduces postprandial glucose when compared with control, with no reports of hypoglycemia.

Here's the simple version: goji berries may have a mild blood sugar lowering effect of their own, mostly from their plant sugars called polysaccharides. Since insulin degludec (Tresiba) is already doing that job, adding concentrated goji on top could, in theory, nudge your numbers a little lower. If your sugar drops too far, you might notice shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, or trouble concentrating.

That said, the evidence here is thin. Studies only showed a modest dip in after-meal glucose, and no one in those studies actually went low. Eating goji as a normal food is very unlikely to matter. If you want to take a concentrated goji supplement regularly, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your readings so your Tresiba dose stays right for you.

What Is Insulin Degludec (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?

Brand name: Tresiba

Insulin degludec (brands: Insulin Degludec, Tresiba) is indicated to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in patients 1 year of age and older with diabetes mellitus — both type 1 and type 2.

It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis (a dangerous complication where acids build up in the blood). In patients with type 1 diabetes, it must be used together with a short-acting insulin.
