These two interact in 3 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 3 Interactions?
Green Tea interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls into 3 of those categories, so it can interact with Green Tea in 3 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
1 of 3Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone
Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Green Tea interacts with.
Conflicting reports exist regarding the effect of green tea on bleeding risk when used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs; however, most evidence suggests that drinking green tea in moderate amounts is unlikely to cause a significant interaction. Green tea contains small amounts of vitamin K, approximately 7 mcg per cup. Some case reports have associated the antagonism of warfarin with the vitamin K content of green tea. However, these reports are rare, and very large doses of green tea (about 8-16 cups daily) appear to be needed to cause these effects. Furthermore, the catechins and caffeine in green tea are reported to have antiplatelet activity.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
The piece of this combo product that matters here is the aspirin, which thins the blood by quieting your platelets so they clot less easily. Green tea contains catechins and caffeine that may also have a mild blood-thinning effect, so on paper layering the two together could nudge your bleeding risk up a little. In real life, though, this is rated unlikely, and the evidence comes mostly from lab work, not solid human studies.
For most people, enjoying a normal cup or two of green tea alongside this medicine is not a concern. What could in theory show up with heavy intake or concentrated extracts is easier bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach upset and bleeding from the aspirin. If you take green tea pills or already have bleeding issues, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

STIMULANT DRUGS
2 of 3Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone also falls under STIMULANT DRUGS.
Green tea contains caffeine. Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of caffeine, concomitant use with stimulant drugs can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the thing to know about Damason-P: it already contains caffeine right in the tablet, alongside the aspirin and the hydrocodone. Green tea also has caffeine. So when you stack a cup or two of green tea (or a concentrated green tea extract) on top, you're essentially adding more stimulant to a product that already has some. The concern here is the caffeine-on-caffeine effect, not anything to do with the painkiller part.
What might you actually feel? More of the classic caffeine stuff: jitteriness, a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, or feeling wired and anxious. This is based mostly on expert opinion rather than hard studies, and a normal cup of green tea is unlikely to cause trouble. Higher-dose extracts are more of a question mark. If you notice these symptoms, check in with your pharmacist or doctor.

CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
3 of 3Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES.
In vitro and in vivo research suggests that green tea can inhibit intestinal CYP3A and induce hepatic CYP3A4 enzymes. However, this effect is unlikely to be clinically significant, as green tea does not appear to affect CYP3A4 activity in humans.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the short version: if you enjoy a few cups of green tea while taking Damason-P (the aspirin, caffeine, and hydrocodone combo), you really don't need to worry. The concern on paper is that green tea can nudge the CYP3A4 enzyme that helps process the hydrocodone part of this medicine. But the research showing that comes from lab and animal studies, and in actual people green tea doesn't seem to meaningfully change how this enzyme works.
So in everyday terms, your tea is very unlikely to make the hydrocodone stronger (more drowsiness, constipation, or slowed breathing) or weaker. One small note: this product already contains caffeine, so heavy green tea drinking could add to jitteriness or a racing feeling. If you ever feel off, check with your pharmacist or doctor.

About Green Tea
What is Green Tea?
- Antioxidant support
- Weight loss
- Heart health
- Mental alertness
- Cancer risk reduction
Green tea is a popular beverage rich in antioxidants called catechins, and drinking it in normal amounts is considered safe for most people. Concentrated green tea extracts are a different story—they may help modestly with weight or heart health for some, but high doses have been linked to rare liver problems. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before taking green tea supplements, especially if you have liver concerns or are pregnant.
